Customer Information

This information relates to our purpose, who we are, what we do, and how we do it.

  • We named our company purposefully. Our mission is to put new life into your home.  Phoenix is more than a name, it’s also a promise.  Your home or building will be of higher quality and greater utility than before.  Ask our customers and you’ll see that we stand by that promise.  Only by living up to our name, will our work and our reputation stand the test of time.
  • Why are we involved?  In the event that you have experienced a fire, water, weather, or vehicle loss to your home, we will most likely be involved with you based on a repair assignment made by your insurance company.  Phoenix is proud to be listed on the direct repair programs of many major property insurance companies.  We depend on these repair programs, and we are highly dedicated to providing a quality finished product to ensure that we remain on these programs.  Of course, you can also make a request of your insurance company to have Phoenix Renovation & Restoration be involved in your project.  We may also be involved because to called us to work with you to perform a renovation or remodel of your home.
  • Insurance adjusters or agents.  We are neither of these.  We do not represent yours, or any, insurance company.  We cannot authorize anything to be replaced, repaired or painted.  We do work closely with your insurance company to ensure that all aspects of the property damage are accurately and completely represented to the insurance company.  Policy coverage issues and questions are beyond our expertise. Those issues are entirely between you and your insurance company.  Our job is to restore not only your property, but your sense of satisfaction.
  • It is important for you to know that we work for you, not the Insurance Company.
  • Work Authorization.  In order to start your restoration project, you must sign the proper Repair Authorization form.  This lets us begin work immediately.  In the event that Emergency Services are required, a separate Emergency Services authorization must be signed.
** It is important to understand that you are ultimately financially responsible for our services based upon your insurance coverage.  Your financial liability may be limited to your policy deductible as outlined below, but when additional work is requested via a change order, you are responsible for that entire dollar amount.
  • Change Order.  During the restoration or repair process, you may desire that additional work be performed.  This work may be the addition or removal of a wall, or doorway, or additional cabinet space, etc.  In all of these events, there is a change from the previously decided job ‘scope’ and additional cost will be required.  In some cases, a refund may be due back to the homeowner.  In these cases, a ‘Change Order’ is created that describes the changes in detail, and the associated costs.  This change order form must be signed, and acknowledges your financial responsibility.
  • Policy Deductible.  Your insurance coverage usually requires the payment of a ‘Deductible’.  This is an amount that the policyholder has agreed to pay on each claim in order to help lower their insurance premiums. This varies by policy and is the responsibility of the homeowner.  Phoenix requires the payment of this deductible to us at the time the Work Authorization is signed.  The insurance company deducts this amount from the payment they make on the covered loss.
  • Our Insurance.  Phoenix is properly insured with appropriate Liability and Workman’s Compensation insurance.  A copy of the insurance document will be provided on request.
  • References.  We would be pleased to provide current references upon request.  General references information is also available from the ‘References’ menu on this web-site.
  • How we proceed.
  • Click on the links below for information regarding the following items:
  • Pre-existing or pre-loss conditions.  During the course of restoration / repairs, we may come across pre-existing damage.  In some cases, these items may be repaired or replaced as part of the covered loss and designated repairs.  In other cases, additional work may be required and a Change Order form will be completed stating the nature and extent of the additional work involved, and the necessary time and cost associated with this work.
  • Personal Items.  In the course of restoration and repairs, we will sometimes be required to open doors, cupboards, etc. to perform or finish the necessary work.  If any of these areas contain personal items you would prefer to relocate before we start work, please let us know.
  • Guns and Ammunition.  Our crews are instructed NEVER to touch guns or ammunition.  For this reason, we request that you remove any such items from the areas where we will be working.
  • Jewelry, Valuables, Heirlooms.  Please remove any valuable items from the area where we will be working before the job is started.  List any special heirlooms or collectibles that should be given extra special or extra delicate treatment due to their value.
  • Overlooked items.  Although our project managers inspect all work, you certainly understand that no employee is perfect.  Please bring any overlooked items to the attention of the project manager.  A final inspection of the job, or ‘Walk Through’ will also be performed with the project manager.
  • Health and safety.  Maintaining your health and safety is of great concern to us.  All occupants and pets should stay away from the work areas to protect their health and safety during the work process.
  • Approximate completion.  It is difficult to estimate the actual time that will be required to complete the restoration / repair process.  We estimate time based upon standard industry averages, utilizing the same computer software used by most major insurance companies.
  • Upon Completion.  When the final nail is driven, woodwork is finished, wall is painted, and furniture returned to its proper place, we assure you that your home or building will be of higher quality and greater utility than before.  In fact, the areas of your home or building that we work on will be Renewed.
